Welcome to Lifepoint 3G Kids Church webpage! 3G_BW

We are excited for you to learn more about our program. This page will provide you with our approach and philosophy to children’s ministry and give you a peek into what your child will experience when they come to 3G Kids at LifePoint.

Our Approach:
You are probably wondering what this whole 3G thing means. Well, its stands for the three “G”s in “Get It, Grow It, and Give It.” Each and every week, we want your children to experience the 3G’s.

First, we want them to “Get it.” There is so much to learn about the Bible, and sometimes it can get lost in all of the distractions and messages that bombard our kids every day. To ensure that the kids “get it,” we focus on one primary principle or lesson learned each month with a specific take-away each week. It is our hope that learning about this primary principle through repetition and real life application, they will store it in their hearts forever (Deuteronomy 6:4-9). They will truly “get it!”

“Grow it” Grow it is the second part of our approach. What good is “getting it” if your child doesn’t apply it and grow from it? That’s why we focus, within the context of a small group, on how each principle can be applied in each child’s life. Whether it’s learning to obey their parents or being kind to the new kid at school, we want our children to bear fruit in their lives as they grow closer to being an adult.

The third part of our approach involves looking beyond oneself to help others. We want our kids to take what they’ve learned, grow from it, and then ultimately “Give it” away. There are many ways to demonstrate this principle, so we focus on all kinds of giving, whether it’s giving a hug or giving a portion of their weekly allowance. In the end, we want our kids to care about those around them and learn to demonstrate the love of Christ in their lives.

So, there you have it–”Get It, Grow It, Give It!” We hope you will join us in this wonderful journey with your children.

Our Philosophy:

Our teaching and curriculum philosophy centers around the following Bible verses:

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.  Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
- Deuteronomy 6:4-9

Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and
when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
- Deuteronomy 11:19

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.
- Proverbs 22:5-7

At Lifepoint 3G Kids Church we believe that “training your child in the way he should go” is a joint effort among parents, staff, and volunteers. When you consider how many hours a day kids spend at activities other than church, you realize just how important it is to integrate God into every aspect of their lives. Sending your kids to church once a week for a couple hours will help their spiritual walk, but it won’t solidify it–that comes when it’s modeled and repeated at home. That’s why partnership between home and church is so important.

To act on this philosophy, we have materials and tools to help our parents understand what we are learning and apply it with their kids at home. This includes weekly emails, memory verses, fridge cards, God time cards, and semi-annual parents’/kids’ church sessions. We truly want parents to be involved in their childrens’ walk with Jesus Christ! It will bring your family closer together, and help your kids stay the course.
